Day 4: Zojo-ji

(Photo: Maggie)
This day was the last day we will spend near our hotel. We set off to explore Zojo-ji temple. Zojo-ji is a Buddhist temple. The nearest station is Daimon 大门, which also refers to the gate of Zojo-ji. We pass by the gate almost everday when we set off to explore Tokyo and when we came back weary. This picture is only the front door. Read more about Zojo-ji here http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3010.html

This is another part of the temple. It seemed like a funeral service part.

When we first encounter this statue called Jizo during day 1, we didn't know what they were. There were many of them lined up in rows. We saw a few tourists taking pictures of them.

When we really explore the place, we realise it's a cemetery... Nonetheless, we decided to take a few pictures.

One of my favourite subjects, fungus.
